Glyphosate is a chemical herbicide used during cultivation of cereal grains, pulses, oilseeds, sugar beets and more.The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified glyphosate as a Group 2B probable carcinogen in 2016. Since that time, at least 35 countries, regions and municipalities have moved to restrict or ban the use of glyphosate for commercial and noncommercial use.
